Hello,

First, let me thank those of you who so patiently rescheduled your sessions with me as I worked my way through this past week with a  flu / cold / laryngitis thing.
(I will spare you the details.)

Second, Right? Dear mind of mine....I need sleep.

During the first few days of this week and in the depths of the yuck, I felt so bad that even sleep was non existent. It hurt to think.  In the days to follow and as I started to feel more like myself again, I began reflecting on my experience.  I thought about sleep, as I often do and how imperative it is to recovery from illness, to those managing dis-ease, chronic illness, stress, anxiety and well, for all of us.

You've seen it, it's everywhere now.  We are constantly reminded how important sleep is to our vitality. Health professionals, social media, documentaries, books, websites, apps. It's so popular right now, to talk about sleep!  And as my daughter says, "Sleep is like the new green juice"

I love the use of different all natural modalities, therapies, sound, meditation, teas, tinctures, foods, movement, essential oils, you name it, you have sleep issues, there is something out there for you to try.
(Shoot me a message if you're curious about how a regular Yoga Nidra practice can help with sleep, just sayin...)

So it was perfect timing, how this particular Thursday, my daughter Hailey's podcast on sleep happened to drop.  I put on my headphones and slowly strolled the beach. Triple goodness! hearing her voice, listening to an expert on sleep and well, the beach.

On this episode of her podcast "How We'll Live" Hailey interviewed Dr. Eric Nofzinger, a sleep scientist and founder of Ebb therapeutics. Dr Nofzinger has spent more than 35 years practicing sleep medicine and studying brain mechanisms of healthy sleep, insomnia, and chronic sleeplessness.
Dr Nofzinger has created a drug free approach to sleeplessness - a wearable sleep device, a headband containing a cooled fluid bringing your forehead to the ideal temperature to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Cool right?

I love learning and listening to new ideas and creations ( yes, I love Shark Tank), particularly when they solve a problem that is affecting many people that I know and love. And that includes you.  I know many of you, struggle with issues of sleep.

So here it is.  The link to Hailey's interview with Dr. Nofzinger.

I hope that you enjoy listening, and that you learn something new and helpful.

If you have a friend or family member who struggles with sleep issues please feel free forward this podcast to them, and if you feel the work that I do would be beneficial to their health and well-being, please send them my way.
