Hey There,

So, yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving. And like the patriotic Canadian girl that I am, I wore my favorite red and white t-shirt and sat on my patio with a pint of beer at the end of the day. (I think it's important to add that this was not how I spent my morning). Cheers. Eh!

Thanksgiving is supposed to be the day that we pause to give thanks. And I do, and it can be a wonderful day. But about a year ago, I started practicing gratitude daily. My kids and I were going through a rough patch and we began to start each day with a group text message, "3 things that I am grateful for today". It didn't have to be anything monumental, and sometimes it was as simple as having hot water to shower with, family who loves me unconditionally, and ok...some days it was chocolate.

I continue my daily practice of gratitude combined with intention and meditation. Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness.

Today I share my gratitude with you, my gratitude for YOU.

I love the work that I do. (If I have to call it work.) It's often difficult to find the words for the work that I do. Clients often describe it as "an experience". I love helping people reunite with that quiet place, that healing space within themselves, where they know that everything, no matter what stress and pain they are dealing with, is ok. I find peace and comfort in it too.

You've probably heard the popular saying, “Love what you do and you’ll never work another day in your life.” And for me that's so very true. Being in session, holding space, laying on of hands, sound and assisting my clients is not work.

I'd be stretching the truth to say that there is no stress or anxiety to being in business for myself. (But I have some pretty cool tools to deal with that!)

When it comes down to it, I wouldn't be able to do what I love, serve the people that I love and add value to our world without You.

If you have been to an Art of Non Doing (Yoga Nidra) session with me, I am grateful. If you have been on my massage table once or 50 times, I am grateful. If you have referred a friend or family member to me, I am grateful. If you have allowed me to care for a friend or family member in cancer treatment or in the last days of life, I am grateful.

I'm extremely grateful to be able to continue to do the work I love in some beautiful locations.
