 Hello,

I love this one...  So much,  that I'm having it made into a poster. More on that in a bit.

Some people have such a magical way of arranging words that seems to transform them from the everyday words that we all know, to something so meaningful and powerful.  I admire people who can do that.  It's a secret desire (not so secret anymore) of mine to put all of my favorites into a book that other therapists and teachers can love and share.

Do you have a favorite quote, scripture or motivational paragraph that really resonates with you? or more than one. Do they change over time?

I have made it a habit to borrow quotes and proverbs to share with my clients, patients and students.  I offer them at the end of an Art of Non Doing class as participants are transitioning from deep relaxation back to a seated position or to complete an Integrative Relaxation Massage session, allowing for a slow return from a quiet mind and body. With my individual clients, I often place my hand on their shoulder and read to them, each time is different and each time the reading that was chosen for them seems to be what they needed to hear.  During this relaxed state we are so receptive to change and so thirsty for healing.

The power of words. The power of being seen .  The power of touch.

And the power of Staples... the office supply store. I mean you can just show up there with a picture on your phone and they can make it into a big poster!

And so I did.

I'm going to take it with me and hang it beside my massage table at the Relay for Life in Shallotte, May 17 and Wilmington, June 1st.  I'm absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been invited by the American Cancer Society to accompany them to their Relay For Life events to provide a little bit of loving touch and information about Oncology Massage.  http://www.cancer.org

The Relay For Life is a fun event to raise money for Cancer Research.  You can participate on a team, form you own, join one, donate, or volunteer.

Let's face it, I don't think that you can talk to anyone now, who has not been affected directly or knows someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another.

Did you know that clinical research shows that massage can be safeand beneficial for people in, or with a history of cancer treatment? There are huge benefits to this work which include reducing stress, pain & fatigue, decrease nausea and anxiety, improve sleep, ease isolation, enhance body image, and nurture well being.

It's my intention to broaden my reach and offer my gentle & unique services to more people with cancer or cancer histories.  And I would love your help.  If you have experienced what I offer through a group session or individual sessions and know someone who could benefit from Oncology Massage, I would be grateful if you would pass my information on to them.  I would be so happy to talk with them about my training in Oncology Massage, the various ways that I am here to help and invite them to work with me in Wilmington or Southport.

I see you, and
I love what I see.
